Our

Governance Commitment

At Steel Reef, we embody collaboration and alignment with our stakeholders. Our aim is to cultivate a culture of accountability, which is reinforced by the diligent oversight of our board of directors, risk-based protocols, policies and streamlined processes.

Board Diversity

Steel Reef’s Board is enriched by the invaluable contributions of two accomplished women who bring a diverse range of skills, expertise and perspectives to our organization. Their presence not only enhances the collective skill set of the Board but also promotes a more inclusive and well-rounded decision-making process. We highly value their unique insights and the positive impact they have on our corporate governance.

Conservative

Balance Sheet & Risk Management

Steel Reef upholds a resilient asset portfolio, exercises rigorous capital discipline, and effectively manages its capital structure with a focus on maintaining balance sheet flexibility.

Given the current business landscape, we thoughtfully allocate our free cash flow towards the development and execution of highly accretive projects. This strategic approach aims to optimize shareholder returns over the long term and capitalize on opportunities that offer significant value enhancement.

Enterprise Risk

Management

Steel Reef’s ERM endeavours are guided by our ERM Policy and framework, with oversight from both the A&ERM Committee of the Board of Directors and our internal ERM Committee.

Through our established process, the internal ERM Committee identifies, manages, mitigates and reports on all risks, documenting them in our comprehensive principal risk register that spans across the entire organization. This approach allows us to effectively allocate resources to facilitate the company’s value-enhancing growth while systematically identifying, prioritizing and addressing risks related to our corporate goals, including ESG factors and strategic objectives.

Steel Reef is committed to reducing emissions and building a sustainable company that aligns with the energy transition and government targets. Our risk management approach involves a thorough assessment of risks based on their likelihood and consequences, followed by the implementation of appropriate controls for mitigation.

All risks are recorded and approved by the ERM committee within predetermined parameters. Regular reviews and reports assess risk levels, trends, and the effectiveness of mitigation strategies.

By utilizing these comprehensive risk identification and management methods, we enhance our ability to identify risks across various domains and involve subject matter experts in the process. Further, as established leaders in flare gas capture, we stand equipped with the commercial and technical expertise to seize opportunities in the dynamic energy transition landscape.
