Pipeline Integrity

and Safety

Our organization is dedicated to the safe and regulatory-compliant design, construction, operation, and maintenance of pipelines.

We prioritize integrity goals, establish training systems, maintain comprehensive compliance records and implement ongoing improvement initiatives. Additionally, we conduct annual risk assessments that inform the recommended inspection schedule for each pipeline segment. Steel Reef successfully completed its inspection program and adheres to a three-to-five-year inspection interval.

Our priority is the health and safety of our employees, local communities and the environment. Steel Reef strives for an accident-free workplace and achieving a high health and safety performance. To support that, we develop, implement, monitor and continuously improve a comprehensive Health and Safety Plan. In the event of an incident, we are prepared to join together and execute our emergency response plans, based on our Emergency Management Program.

At Steel Reef, our engagement with Indigenous communities is guided by the core principles of early engagement, equity, two-way interaction, mutual respect, and accountability.

When it comes to new project development, we create project-specific Indigenous community engagement plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each community. Our approach involves working closely with Indigenous communities to identify the most suitable and effective methods of engagement. We initiate this collaborative process early on during the planning and design phase of projects, ensuring that we gather valuable input, encourage participation, facilitate review processes and maintain ongoing feedback channels.
